Pet of the Week: Bunny, Sparky, and Izzy!
These are my two adorable rabbits, Bunny and Sparky. Bunny is a New Zealand red who I purchased from a breeder. He broke her ear when he snatched her out of her cage, but that has not quelled her sassy personality. Sparky, a Rex, was adopted from the Humane Society, and he has been Bunny's personal groomer and worshipper for several years
Izzy is a mix of lab, hound, and boxer. She had been at the Humane Society twice when we adopted her, and she is never going back. Izzy loves going for walks, no matter how cold, snowy, or windy the conditions. She also loves attention, and will paw at us incessantly until she gets our undivided attention.
Congratulations to Nicole H. and her pets from Janesville, WI! Would you like your pet featured as Pet of the Week? Read entry instructions here.
Clean + Green Review and BIG Giveaway!
Those of us with pets are all-too-familiar with the stains, smells, and messes our animal friends love to leave us. Many of us also struggle with finding a cleaner that actually works. Well, here it is...Clean + Green by SeaYu! I was fortunate enough to try out a few of these awesome cleaners, and all I can say is WOW--not only do these products work, they're also totally eco-friendly.
I first tried the Carpet & Upholstery Cleaner on a cat vomit stain. I was a little skeptical about the instructions not to scrub the stain, but amazingly the spot disappeared without me having to touch it! I decided to give the cleaner a try on the "mystery spot" in our living room; this is a spot that has been there for a few months and has no apparent source. Other cleaners have failed to remove it, despite repeated attempts. I sprayed Clean + Green, crossed my fingers, and let it dry. The stain is gone! I'm astounded. I cannot wait to use the rest of my samples all over the house. :)
Clean + Green is unique because you just spray it on the stain or smelly spot and leave it. There is no rubbing, blotting or rinsing. You literally just spray it and leave it. There is a full line of products for every cleaning issue from carpet stains to skunk odors, and for every pet in your home. You can also use these cleaners for other purposes like getting rid of cigarette smoke smells, de-stinking nasty athletic gear, or even freshening up your HVAC system. The formula actually gets to the root of the stain or smell; it doesn't just mask it. In fact these products are totally unscented!
Unlike many cleaners that claim to be environmentally friendly, Clean + Green actually delivers on this promise. Their products are made of cane sugar derivatives, a proprietary blend of botanical extracts, hydrated cellulose (cleaning agents), and purified water. The cleaners are aerosol propelled, but their innovative use of nitrogen makes them free of CFC's and safe for the ozone. They're also water soluable, non-toxic and non-flammable. This makes Clean + Green totally safe to use around your family, and even animals with sensitive respiratory systems like birds and small rodents.

Pet of the Week: Nicky
This is my little boy Nicky. He is a beautiful 5 year old orange tabby. I adopted him from an acquaintance 2 years ago. He has a stubby tail - nobody knows what happened for sure but the vet said it looks like it may have gotten caught in a trap or farm equipment when he was a kitten (he used to be a farm cat). I have had many cats but Nicky is the best ever. He is incredibly affectionate, loves having his belly rubbed and sleeps in the crook of my arm every night. He's a great hunter too - he has caught various rodents while tied up in the backyard, and several mice in my boyfriend's house (good boy!). I could never imagine my life without him.

My name is Lianne and I am the pround parent of my fur-baby, Squirrel.
Squirrel is a calico/mixed tabby cat depending on who you're talking to. Squirrel works very hard 7 days a week. The main responsibilities in her line of work are sleeping, eating, and furring people. In her free time she enjoys chasing furry white mice and bathing in the sun.
