Make a Video and Make a Difference for Homeless Animals: Enter Dane County Humane Society's Adoption Video Contest!
Get creative and help spread the word about adopting a pet from Dane County Humane Society (DCHS). Just grab your friends and your pets, and make a short video about our upcoming adoption promotions. We need YOU to make a catchy, clever video we can post on our website, the Internet (through the YouTube site identified below), and possibly a local news station. Great prizes will be awarded!

Update on 2 Madison animal abuse cases
A sentencing hearing is scheduled for May 20, 2010 in Dane County Circuit Court in the case of Dwayne Johnson, the man accused of killing a puppy by hitting it over the head with a flashlight.

A decision hearing is scheduled for June 24, 2010 in Dane County Circuit Court in the case of Jorge Iglesias, the man accused of holding cockfights and training fighting birds at his Madison home. Both sides will present briefs prior to the decision hearing.

FLWC Garage Sale Collection- help animals and get rid of some stuff!

The Four Lakes Wildlife Center annual garage sale fundraiser will be held the weekend of April 23rd – April 25th.
We would appreciate your donation of any gently used items with the exception of large appliances and CRT computer monitors. We gratefully take donations of:

*sporting goods
*housewares
*pet supplies
*antiques
*electronics in working condition
*gardening supplies
*books
*music
*movies
*clothing in very good condition
*….and more.
Donation collection will begin on March 1st. Please drop your items off at Dane County Humane Society - 5132 Voges Road, Madison during shelter open hours. Your generous in-kind donations are tax deductible and a receipt can be provided for you when you drop your items off.
All proceeds from the sale benefit the more than 1000 wild birds, mammals and reptiles the center cares for each year. Thank you for your support!
